By default your application runs on German servers - on request in another EU data centre or in your own cloud. We do not commit to a technology up front: we pick the stack that fits what you need.

These are part of every application we build - whatever its size or stage. They belong to the development work, not to running the application afterwards.

From requirement to launch

  1. Requirements analysis

    We record what the application has to do: processes, roles, data and the systems you already run. The result is an agreed scope of functionality.

  2. Concept and architecture

    Data model, permission model, integrations and technology choice. We are not tied to one stack and pick what fits your requirement.

  3. Development in stages

    Implementation in clearly bounded stages with regular working versions to try out. You see early what is taking shape and can steer while it is still cheap to do so.

  4. Testing and acceptance

    Functional testing, checks across devices and browsers, and a joint acceptance run with real data and real users.

  5. Deployment

    Launch including domain, SSL, server environment, database, backups and monitoring. On German servers at Hetzner by default - on request EU-wide or in your own cloud.

  6. Handover and onboarding

    Documentation, access credentials and an introduction for your team. Afterwards you know how the application runs and where your data sits.

Pricing

Every solution is costed individually.

Price by arrangement

There is no package price for custom-built software - scope, data model and integrations differ far too much from one project to the next.

We get to know each other in a free first conversation and record what the application has to do in a requirements analysis. On that basis we make you a concrete offer covering scope, timeline and cost - usually as a fixed price for clearly bounded stages.

Development and ongoing operation are costed and commissioned separately. That way you always see what is a one-off and what recurs each year.

The first conversation and an initial estimate are always free.

Non-profit and social organisations

If your organisation works on a non-profit or social basis and has only limited funds, we will find a way together. Tell us openly what is realistic for you - we adapt scope, timeline and price to it. A worthwhile project should not fail over the budget.

Ongoing operation

Going live is not the end of it.

An application people use every day needs ongoing care: operation, updates, security and further development. We look after the applications we build - under a yearly arrangement that matches the scope of your application.

What ongoing operation covers

  • Operation and hosting

    Server, database, domain and SSL. We run your application on German servers at Hetzner, on request in another EU data centre or in your own cloud environment.

  • Monitoring and availability

    Automated monitoring of availability, errors and load. We usually notice a problem before it reaches you.

  • Security updates

    Regular updates to framework, libraries and server environment - including a response to newly disclosed vulnerabilities.

  • Backups and recovery

    Automated backups with a defined retention period and a recovery path that has actually been tested, not just written down.

  • Support for your team

    One named contact for questions, incidents and bug reports. You write to us directly, with no detour through an anonymous ticket system.

  • Further development

    New features, adjustments to changed processes and ongoing improvements - either within an agreed block of hours or as a stage of its own.

Ongoing operation is arranged individually and depends on the scope, number of users and availability requirements of your application. You receive a separate yearly offer for it - kept apart from the one-off development.
